At the count of 5

There is She, an Ordinary Girl with an extraordinary dream.

At the Count of one...
She will work at the ABS-CBN as a field reporter.
As a reporter she is very honest. There is this one politician who will try to bribe her so that she will refrain from reporting what she know about the illegal works of this politician.  She will report what she knows about this politician who keeps on doing his illegal things in the Philippines.
She will continue acting in Stage, by that time she is going to be an actress of the Philippine Repertory Theatre.

At the Count of two...
She will be the one who will send her brothers at school.  She will support them not only by financial means but also by emotional means.  She will do this because she wants to fulfil what she promise to her parents that once she will earn money she will be the one to send her brothers in school.
Every Sunday they will attend mass together with their parents.
She will make their business bigger by branching out more stores all over the country.

At the Count of three...
She will buy a House for her family; she will give this as a Christmas Gift to her Parents. This house is going to be filled with love and respect. This will be the foundation of the change that she is been longing for. Wherein the reason why there is a need to change will never be revealed.
She will also buy a Car for her and her Parents. But she will never let her Mom to sell their van because it is a gift from her Grandfather.

At the Count of Four...
She is going to celebrate her birthday giving a gift and feeding the less fortunate people. She will do this with the help of her College Friends and High School Friends.
She will arrange a yearly Reunion for her Family. (both sides, in Her Mother and Fathers side)
She will do everything to help her relatives.

At the Count of five...
She will make sure that everything she said and her views about her future will happen with the help of God.

Hey you! It's Saturday

No Class?
No Saturday night Hang out?
Are you bored?
Don’t you have anything to do?
Do you want to be free from being bored?
If you say YES, I have something for you to do, and I am 100% sure that you’ll love it.
The Following are the things that you have to do!

1.      I want you to wake up early in the morning to cook breakfast for your Mother and Father
Why do you have to do this?
Because you’re always out of the house five times a week, eight hours a day, you go home without them noticing it; you go out of your house saying “Goodbye Mommy” because you want her to give you your allowance. By cooking breakfast for them it is one way of saying I love you, I’m Sorry and Thank You for everything. I don’t want you to do this on your Mom or Dads birthday; I want you to do this today because it is Saturday.

2.      I want you to play a game with your siblings, whatever game it is, as long as it is the game wherein your siblings love to play.
Why do you have to do this?
Because you’re always hanging out with your friends, and/or your girlfriend/boyfriend that you forgot that you have a brother and/or sister wherein when you have a problem they are the first one that you run in to tell them what your problem is, give importance to your siblings, make your siblings feel how much you love them and how much you are thankful to have them. I don’t want you to do this because you recently had a fight with your sibling; I want you to do this because it is Saturday.

3.      I want you to sit back and relax, but before you do that, I want you to find a good movie for Family.
Why do you have to do this?
Because earlier you did things for your Parents and for your Siblings, Now I want you to do this so that you will make a great bonding time as a family all together. Set up the T.V and cook some popcorn, then this is the time that you have to Sit back and relax in the very soft couch in your house. I don’t want you to do this only for them; I want you to do this also for you because it is Saturday.

Have a great day this Saturday.
Always remember that Action speaks louder than words J

I may have a boys name, but I love it: The History of my Name

Giving the Baby a name is one of the most exciting moment that each Parents could ever encounter.
Most of the First Baby boy is always named after their Father and Some Parents named their child after a popular celebrity, the Saints in the Bible, a Hero, a politician, and from their Grandmother or Grandfather. But me, I was named differently, by the way my name is Wendel Mae Lacandazo Neri, my Grandfather calls me Momoy, when I was in highschool my Mom, some relatives and friends calls me Mumay, in College some calls me Wendy, Mae and Wendel. Our theater Director calls me Keri, and i don't know why.
I am not named after anybody, my Parents were so creative that they combined their name for me to have a name, quite confusing right? So here it goes.
-Wendel is a combination of my Mom & Dad's  first name, my Mom's name is RoWENa while my Dad's name is NeriDEL. Wen plus Del is equals to Wendel.
by the way, my little brothers also have Wendel in their names,( Mark Wendel, Martin Wendel and Matthew Wendel) I think that my parents put it because it is our trademark, so that people will know that we are the sons and daughter of Rowena and Neridel.
-Mae, since I am born in the month of May they made it as my second name, they only changed the Y to E.

Even though I know the reason why I was named Wendel Mae, my curiosity won't let me sleep, so I decided to check the meaning of my name in http://www.meaning-of-names.com. According to this website the name Wendel originated from Germany which means Wanders, and it is commonly used as a boys name, while Mae in Hebrew means Bitter, in French it means May as the month, which comes from the Roman Mythology  named Maia the Goddess of Spring Growth, and it is commonly used as a girls name.
Imagine, I have a name both for a girl and a boy, it is so cool.

Anyway, most of the people I met thought that I was named after Wendell Ramos an actor here in the Philippines, that is why when I was in Elementary when my Teacher calls me Wendel all of my classmates will say "Hahaha Wendel Ramos" the funny thing is that I never felt ashamed.
Some of the people who heard my name without seeing me thought that I am a boy.
I could still remember that there is this one friend of mine who asked me "Di ka ba napapangitan o naiilang sa pangalan mo?" I simply told her "Why would I? Through the Help of God my parents decided to name me as Wendel Mae, they gave this to me, it is like the first gift ever that my parents gave me, ikaw di ka ba napapangitan sa pangalan mo?".

So there we go, that is the reason why my Parents named me as Wendel Mae.

I don't care if some people are making fun of me because of my name, I don't even care whatever they say, I love my name, this is what my parents gave me, and I am so proud that I have Wendel Mae as my name.

PS: Love the name what your Parents gave you, it may sound funny, it may suck, or not appealing but for them it means a lot. :)
